About
I'm a developer based in Porto, Portugal. I work in X++ on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, on the part of the system that exists because of Portuguese tax law.
Most of my time goes into the fiscal layer rather than business configuration. It has to keep working across releases, for more than one company at once, against legislation that changes on its own schedule and a platform that changes on Microsoft's. I'm still learning the edges of it: what changes across service updates, what has to be deterministic for an audit, what happens to a fiscal export at real volume, and why a fiscal rule can't just be dropped because it became inconvenient.
What I work with
- SAF-T PT, generation, schema validation, taxonomy and account mapping, performance at volume.
- Certified invoicing, document signing, hash sequencing, and the requirements placed on certified software.
- Series registration, ATCUD and the document QR code.
- Transport document communication under the movement-of-goods regime.
- Stamp duty and the periodic declarations around it.
- Some exposure to integrations with AT web services and Azure around D365FO.
Engineering
X++ and the F&O platform. Azure DevOps, TFVC and Git, build and release pipelines, LCS/PPAC and environment management. Some hands-on time with Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps and Key Vault where the fiscal flows leave the ERP.
Certification
MB-500, Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate.
